Austin Swim Club Makes An Impact With Registration Drive

Austin Swim Club, the presenting sponsor of the Start Line went a step further and sponsored a registration drive with powerful outcomes.

Thanks to Austin Swim Club’s registration drive, more people will be at the starting line on race day on November 6, and even more people in Burundi will have a lifetime of clean water. “It was our pleasure to host the registration drive and bring more people to the start line of this year’s Run For The Water - we can’t wait to cheer every participant on,” said Megan Thompson, Chief of Operations of Austin Swim Club.

For every 10-Miler or 5K registration during the registration drive in August, Austin Swim Club contributed $5 to this year’s Run For The Water. The 9-day drive increased registration by over 20%. “Thanks to all those who registered during the drive. Because of you, even more people in Burundi will have lifetime of clean water,” said Thompson.

The race benefits the Gazelle Foundation, dedicated to providing clean water to the people of Burundi. Each registration brings clean water to people in Burundi for life. Clean water provides a path out of poverty, bringing access to better health, stronger communities, jobs, education, and most of all: hope For those who prefer to participate in a virtual event, our Global Run is also available. “We’re fortunate to have incredible partners like Austin Swim Club, this year’s race is going to be amazing,” said Gilbert Tuhabonye, co-founder of Gazelle Foundation.
