Connor Lee & Shumaker Give Hope and Clean Water
This is the first year Connor Lee & Shumaker PLLC has partnered with Run For The Water. Motivated by a personal connection to Gilbert Tuhabonye, and the opportunity to make a big impact in Burundi they are going a step further, and are hosting a registration drive beginning September 21, 2022.
During the registration drive, your registration has an even greater impact in Burundi. For every 10-Miler or 5K registration received between Wednesday, September 21, and Friday, September 30, Connor Lee & Shumaker PLLC will contribute $5 to this year’s Run For The Water. Which directly impacts our ability to provide clean water to people in Burundi.
John Shumaker of Connor Lee & Shumaker PLLC has known Gilbert Tuhabonye for many years, Gilbert's personal history, his escape from genocide in Burundi, how he lives with faith and joy, and his dedication to giving clean water and hope to his home country inspires John and his firm to get involved with this year’s event.

For 16 years running, the Gazelle Foundation has thrown the best race in town. Each November, over 5,000 runners and walkers take to the streets of downtown Austin for the annual Run For The Water 10-Miler, 5K, and Kids K through our beautiful west Austin course.
The race benefits the Gazelle Foundation, dedicated to providing clean water to the people of Burundi. Each registration equals clean water for one person for life. Clean water provides a path out of poverty, bringing access to better health, stronger communities, jobs, education, and most of all: hope For those who prefer to participate in a virtual event, our Global Run is also available.
